Foscarini x Shotti (2)

Foscarini produces some of my favorite lighting pieces and has amazing collaborations with artists. They are back at it with an innovated design installation called “Cages”. For “Cages” the company partnered with the influential designer Ferruccio Laviani. The exhibition honors Foscarini’s LED innovation featuring bright red contours enveloping four new artistically-inspired LED lamps. Laviani likens the red contours to the 3D characterization of the act of highlighting something significant in a book.
Check out some shots below that I took of the pieces.

Foscarini x Shotti

Earlier this year, high-end conceptual lighting company, Foscarini, celebrated their 30th anniversary with seven new, limited edition Twiggy lamps on display at its NYC store. I was hired to shoot the press pics for the installation. This was a fun project where I was allowed to put my own artistic spin on the pieces collectively. Usually when shooting installations, the client is very particular about how they want it shot, so this was an honor.
Check some of the shots below.

Erin Barra x Shotti

A while back I had the honor of shooting some portraits for Erin Barra. Not only is Erin amazingly talented, but she’s also a good friend who I’ve known and worked with for a few years now. The images we took are being used as profile images for an online course she is offering at the Berklee College of Music called Introduction to Ableton Live. The FREE class begins on Feb 1st, at which point participants will be given a 30 day trial demo of the software, a 30 day Dropbox Pro account, and access to the entire course. To sign up for the course, read more about it and watch the promo video click this link. You don’t have to have any prior knowledge of music, or have access to any hardware in order to complete the course.Check out a few of the photos below.

… And I usually always take at least one polaroid of a subject.

GEMS x Survivor Leaders x Shotti = More Than A Survivor series.

Last year I had the great privilege to shoot an amazing project that I care about deeply. I have been a supporter of the non-profit, GEMS, for a long time.

Below is some info about the project and images from the exhibit launch party.

The More Than A Survivor: More Than A Story Campaign and Poster Series features stunning portraits of 22 women from across the country who are all survivor leaders in a variety of venues from the arts to politics and more.

The More Than A Survivor photography exhibition honors their diversity, beauty, strength, accomplishments and leadership and celebrates their present and their future. The exhibition presents their images and words as a powerful antidote to the stereotypes of commercially sexually exploited and trafficked victims perpetually broken and forever limited by their trauma.

This traveling exhibition is also designed to be a poster series that will be utilized by youth serving agencies to inspire a tangible sense of hope and future for commercially sexually exploited and trafficked girls and women.
